I am currently working as Deputy Manager Utilities in US Denim Lahore. US Group is the leading manufacturer / exporter in fashion & apparel industry. My key accountability are as:

-         Operation & maintenance of Gas / Diesel power plant (15MW) consisting of GE (JGS 420, 320) & CATERPILLAR (3520H, 3516, 3512) engine with recoveries (WHR & J/W heat recovery).

-        Operation & maintenance of dual fuel boilers (4Nos), centrifugal compressors (4Nos Atlas Copco ZH, ZR), HVAC, Steam absorption chillers (4Nos LG & Shuangliang), air handling units (7Nos Best Air, LUWA), water softening plant (ion exchange) & ETP (biological 200m3/hr).

- Ensure effective management and control of the maintenance planning and procedures to provide maximum availability, reliability and performance of power plant & other utilities to achieve high goals and targets with proven KPIs mentioned in performance appraisals.  

-     Ensure compliance to Occupational Health and Safety procedures & develop training needs assessment of the staff members & on boarding plan for the new team members, facilitating on job training & multi-tasking to make the best use of their potential.

-       Fully involved with project management function & successfully completed all capital projects. (Enlisted below projects are now in optimum operation)

1-      Project: Waste Heat Recovery II (June 18)
Title: Engine J/W Heat Recovery.
Scope: Energy Saving & Conservation.

Being field engineer, I had coordinated with significant qualified mechanical & electrical professionals to support numerous power systems & locomotives in hundreds of locations throughout the country. I had fully equipped with special diagnostics tools & vehicle to do the jobs and reduce customer downtime.

-         As a part of OEM, I had successfully delivered the product support & make sure the smooth, reliable, cost effective & efficient operations of various Caterpillar based power plants during warranty periods, O&M contracts, Rental & after sale services in whole region.

My accountability in Product Support & Services Department were:

-     Responsible for defined assignments in the area of power plants maintenance & support.

-     Work with various software systems for component integrations, installations & troubleshooting.

-     Carries out the root cause analysis for any fault or failure or trip in coordination with other Supervisors and under instructions from the management.

-      Helps customer in planning and scheduling outage works for Major Overhauling & servicing budgets & plans.

-      To understand EH&S risks / hazards and Environmental / legislative aspect / Impacts related to work in workshops & on sites and to ensure 100% compliance & safety.

-       Assess plant / machine / engine / loco engine needs for spare parts, consumables& supplies and generate material requisitions. Some important hands on projects are enlisted below:
